The new IW team is starting this fall semester off on the right foot. We have 12 Ninjas this semester (eight graphic designers and four account team members), and we have had a lovely two weeks so far.
Our first day of “IW Bootcamp,” we did some team-building exercises where we learned how each of us works as a part of a team. It was a fun day spent outside, but some of us suffered with our allergies later that week (myself included). We also had the chance to tour Gerald Printing where we saw an IW piece being printed.
During Bootcamp, we also did some introductory training and meetings at the IW office, but the most fun we had was on our trip to Nashville, Tenn. While there, we visited Cabedge, 1220 Exhibits, The Buntin Group, Hatch Show Print and CMT. We definitely learned a lot, gained some insights and met some interesting people on our tours.

The Ninjas prepare to tour 1220 Exhibits.
As of last week, though, it has been down to business for the team. We have meet with a few potential clients, had some follow-up meetings and we have been coming up with ideas for our Web site. It was a very busy two weeks even with being off for Labor Day at the beginning of this week. Busy is good, though. I hope that we stay this busy throughout the semester. So until next time…have a good day!
