David Bohan is the Chairman and CEO of Bohan, an advertising and marketing agency in Nashville, Tennessee. They won two Emmy Awards in February for work done with Fazoli’s and United Methodist Communications in the 24th annual Midsouth Emmy Awards competition. This is the sixth year in a row BOHAN has won the coveted award.

David Bohan: Chairman and CEO, responsible for financial oversight, new business development and agency public relations.
IW: What college did you attend?
DB: University of Tennessee Knoxville
IW: What was your major?
DB: Business Administration
IW: How did you get started in the business?
DB: Client side advertising manager followed by an account executive agency job.
IW: What gets you excited to come to work everyday?
DB: The challenge of helping solve client business problems.
IW: What is a typical day like for you?
DB: A mix of agency operations and personnel business, business development and agency public relations, volunteer work and reviewing client plans and creative.
IW: What advice can you provide upcoming graduates?
DB: Be willing to stay flexible, look for opportunities in unusual places and continue to be a student of the business.
IW: What is the best piece of advice or words you live by?
DB: Don’t make decisions based on greed or ego.
IW: What qualities/skills are you looking for in new graduates?
DB: Superior communications skills both written and verbal, curiosity and high levels of emotional intelligence.
IW: Are you a dog lover or cat lover?
DB: Both.
IW: What is your favorite color?
DB: Green.
IW: If you could be a superhero, what would you want your superpowers to be?
DB: To fly.
